The 2012 family reunion in San Francisco, CA was a successful one! Now, we are already in full gear planning for the 2013 Luckey-Bonds Family Reunion in San Antonio, TX. Our gracious hosts for next year's reunion are Willie and Vicky Adams, and we are all excited about the things that they have in store for us. The date is set for June 21-23, 2013!!! As usual, the family reunion will be something that you do NOT want to miss. Registration information is posted in the Reunion Information section.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to contact The Luckey-Bonds Reunion Committee at our new email address LuckeyBondsReunion@gmaill.com. This will be the permanent email address as the torch is passed year by year. If you are not already on the email list, please be sure to give us your information. Also, if you are in contact with any family members who are not currently receiving email from the reunion committee, please share their contact information as well.
Our goal as a family and reunion committee is to make every year better than the year before. We are creating memories and family history and we need you all to be a part of this! After serving 21 years in the U.S. Navy, Vicky Adams celebrated her retirement with proud family, friends and colleagues! Congratulations, Vicky!!! Your family is proud of you!!!!
Payment Plan Dates
For those of you who plan to utilize the Tri-Monthly Payment Plan for paying your reunion dues, please let this serve as a reminder that your first installment shall be received on or by OCTOBER 6, 2011. That is less than one month away. Please contact me RIGHT AWAY about this! The payment schedule is listed below, as well. This is a great way to break down the costs, especially for those of you with big immediate families. Also, any family with more than two (2) minor children will receive a $5 off discount per child!!!

I have received word that there are a few more donations to be expected from some family members. Please remember if you are able to donate, please do!!! Even if only $1, $5, or whatever you can afford. You can donate right on this family blog by clicking the YELLOW Donate button on the right side of the page!! EVERY PENNY COUNTS toward a great reunion!

Though I have been getting great responses about the family reunion and several family members saying that they are coming, the email response has been minimal. So far I only have about 35 RSVPs. Please, if you intend to come, shoot me a quick email saying so. In this email please add the names of who will attend. Example below.

A short but sweet email including all of the names of the attendees. This will help us plan the best reunion for those we are expecting. I realize that down the line, plans may change, and you may not be able to make it after all, but we rather plan ahead for more than plan for less and have more! We want EVERYONE to have a good time.

I have to stress the importance of donations for the family reunion! I know that times are hard for most of us, but if everyone can donate even a small amount, it will only be helping ALL of us to have a great reunion!! So far I only have $100 pledged for donations. Though the dues will help cover some costs, donations will ensure a great time!!! Please submit a pledge, or click the donation button to the right ---> and help us all!

I am pleased to announce that MEME and NADIYAH have taken the responsibility to assist with the coordination of travel for the family reunion! MONETHA has also volunteered to help them out as best that she can.
The travel committee will be gathering information about how to get family members from point A to point B, being San Francisco for the family reunion. They will be searching for group travel rates, etc, so please get in contact with these ladies so that they can be sure to give you any information they are able to find! I will also be communicating with the ladies and posting information here on the Family Blog!

FB is buzzing with Luckeys!!!
Our family Facebook group has been buzzing!!! I can say that personally I have a great time, and some even better laughs while communicating with family members in the Luckey in Life FB Group. The group started at about 11 members and currently there are 234. There have been dots connected from one Luckey family to the next, which has made us all one big Luckey family!!! I am so excited about what is going on in the group and what will continue to develop.

Family History
Thanks to Cedric Priestly for searching online to help us grow our family tree!!! Cedric has been elected to do a family history presentation at the 2012 Family Reunion... and I know that we are all looking forward to that. So far, we know that our great-great-grandparents William and Alice Luckey birthed 35 children!!! So far, 15 of them have been named, and we are working on finding the names of the other 20... the more Luckeys that we find the bigger the tree!!!

The LUCKEY IN LIFE FB Page is growing enormously!!! There have been a lot of Luckey family members added... who wants to take on the task of connecting the dots and finding out who is and how we are all connected?!
